Joining our Board

Port Cares is currently recruiting for two volunteer Board of Directors positions to commence it's 2023-2024 governance year.

Networked Community, Fundraising/Philanthropic– Focused Skill Set

The ideal Board Member for our agency has demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Understanding the importance of professional, networked community connections, fundraising, and philanthropic relationships
  • Willingness to volunteer within a minimum of two (2) established committees (Project, Outreach, Governance, Finance, Capital & Property)
  • Previous experience in capitalizing upon networked community connections, support of fundraising, philanthropic initiatives
  • Business acumen, which can be applied to understanding non-profit financials
  • Prior non-profit board experience
