Gather & Grow Soirée raises over $120,000 for Port Cares' Reach Out Centre
PORT COLBORNE, ON, October 15, 2026- Port Cares' Gather & Grow Soirée, presented by Meridian Credit Union, raised more than $120,000 on Saturday, October 3, in support of the Reach Out Centre.
The evening brought together guests from across Niagara in one of Port Colborne's most beautiful heritage venues, with curated food stations from local culinary partners, handcrafted cocktails, and live music.
The event was a highlight of Port Cares' 40th anniversary year.
"Forty years ago, Port Cares started because neighbours showed up for neighbours. This evening proved that has not changed," said Chandra Hardeen, Executive Director of Port Cares. "Every person in that room, every local partner who gave their time, is the reason this organization has served the community for four decades and the reason we will continue to serve for forty more."
Every dollar raised supports the Reach Out Centre, which serves individuals and families across Port Colborne and Wainfleet. Its programs include emergency food assistance, weekly hot meals, school lunch kits and senior hamper deliveries. As more people turn to the Centre for help, this support keeps those programs strong.
