Port Cares Releases 2025/26 Impact Report

Port Cares is proud to share our 2025/26 Impact Report, highlighting a year shaped by community, compassion and a shared commitment to helping our neighbours.

The past year brought significant milestones for Port Cares. Our Reach Out Centre distributed 189,027 pounds of food, served 16,510 hot meals and provided 9,195 school lunches. Through PC Works, 665 individuals received employment support, with 236 people securing employment. Our EarlyON centres welcomed more than 7,000 children and facilitated 52,033 visits across seven locations.

We also celebrated the opening of Chestnut Place, our 41-unit affordable housing residence for low-income seniors and single-parent-led families. For the residents who now call Chestnut Place home, it represents more than housing — it represents stability, connection and a new beginning.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Behind every statistic is a neighbour who found support, a family who felt a little less alone, or someone who was given the opportunity to take their next step forward.

This impact is possible because of the people who continue to show up for our community — our volunteers, donors, staff, partners and supporters. Together, we are building a community where everyone has help, hope and opportunity.

As we look ahead, the need in our community continues to grow. So does our commitment to meeting it.
